containerd is an open-source container runtime. A bug was found in containerd prior to versions 1.6.38, 1.7.27, and 2.0.4 where containers launched with a User set as a `UID:GID` larger than the maximum 32-bit signed integer can cause an overflow condition where the container ultimately runs as root (UID 0). This could cause unexpected behavior for environments that require containers to run as a non-root user. This bug has been fixed in containerd 1.6.38, 1.7.27, and 2.04. As a workaround, ensure that only trusted images are used and that only trusted users have permissions to import images.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: cadence: Fix out-of-bounds array access in cdns_mrvl_xspi_setup_clock() If requested_clk > 128, cdns_mrvl_xspi_setup_clock() iterates over the entire cdns_mrvl_xspi_clk_div_list array without breaking out early, causing 'i' to go beyond the array bounds. Fix that by stopping the loop when it gets to the last entry, clamping the clock to the minimum 6.25 MHz. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/slab: fix warning caused by duplicate kmem_cache creation in kmem_buckets_create Commit b035f5a6d852 ("mm: slab: reduce the kmalloc() minimum alignment if DMA bouncing possible") reduced ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN to 8 on arm64. However, with KASAN_HW_TAGS enabled, arch_slab_minalign() becomes 16. This causes kmalloc_caches[*][8] to be aliased to kmalloc_caches[*][16], resulting in kmem_buckets_create() attempting to create a kmem_cache for size 16 twice.
