Syzkaller uses faultinject to reproduce this KASAN double-free warning. The issue is triggered if either diMount() or dbMount() fail in jfs_remount(), since diUnmount() or dbUnmount() already happened in such a case - they will do double-free on next execution: jfs_umount or jfs_remount. Tested on both upstream and jfs-next by syzkaller.

| The Add Google +1 (Plus one) social share Button plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.0. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the google-plus-one-share-button page. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to update settings and inject malicious web scripts via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vfio/type1: fix cap_migration information leak Fix an information leak where an uninitialized hole in struct vfio_iommu_type1_info_cap_migration on the stack is exposed to userspace. The definition of struct vfio_iommu_type1_info_cap_migration contains a hole as shown in this pahole(1) output: struct vfio_iommu_type1_info_cap_migration { struct vfio_info_cap_header header; /* 0 8 */ __u32 flags; /* 8 4 */ /* XXX 4 bytes hole, try to pack */ __u64 pgsize_bitmap; /* 16 8 */ __u64 max_dirty_bitmap_size; /* 24 8 */ /* size: 32, cachelines: 1, members: 4 */ /* sum members: 28, holes: 1, sum holes: 4 */ /* last cacheline: 32 bytes */ }; The cap_mig variable is filled in without initializing the hole: static int vfio_iommu_migration_build_caps(struct vfio_iommu *iommu, struct vfio_info_cap *caps) { struct vfio_iommu_type1_info_cap_migration cap_mig; cap_mig.header.id = VFIO_IOMMU_TYPE1_INFO_CAP_MIGRATION; cap_mig.header.version = 1; cap_mig.flags = 0; /* support minimum pgsize */ cap_mig.pgsize_bitmap = (size_t)1 << __ffs(iommu->pgsize_bitmap); cap_mig.max_dirty_bitmap_size = DIRTY_BITMAP_SIZE_MAX; return vfio_info_add_capability(caps, &cap_mig.header, sizeof(cap_mig)); } The structure is then copied to a temporary location on the heap. At this point it's already too late and ioctl(VFIO_IOMMU_GET_INFO) copies it to userspace later: int vfio_info_add_capability(struct vfio_info_cap *caps, struct vfio_info_cap_header *cap, size_t size) { struct vfio_info_cap_header *header; header = vfio_info_cap_add(caps, size, cap->id, cap->version); if (IS_ERR(header)) return PTR_ERR(header); memcpy(header + 1, cap + 1, size - sizeof(*header)); return 0; } This issue was found by code inspection. | ||||

| CVE-2023-54157 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: binder: fix UAF of alloc->vma in race with munmap() [ cmllamas: clean forward port from commit 015ac18be7de ("binder: fix UAF of alloc->vma in race with munmap()") in 5.10 stable. It is needed in mainline after the revert of commit a43cfc87caaf ("android: binder: stop saving a pointer to the VMA") as pointed out by Liam. The commit log and tags have been tweaked to reflect this. ] In commit 720c24192404 ("ANDROID: binder: change down_write to down_read") binder assumed the mmap read lock is sufficient to protect alloc->vma inside binder_update_page_range(). This used to be accurate until commit dd2283f2605e ("mm: mmap: zap pages with read mmap_sem in munmap"), which now downgrades the mmap_lock after detaching the vma from the rbtree in munmap(). Then it proceeds to teardown and free the vma with only the read lock held. This means that accesses to alloc->vma in binder_update_page_range() now will race with vm_area_free() in munmap() and can cause a UAF as shown in the following KASAN trace: ================================================================== BUG: KASAN: use-after-free in vm_insert_page+0x7c/0x1f0 Read of size 8 at addr ffff16204ad00600 by task server/558 CPU: 3 PID: 558 Comm: server Not tainted 5.10.150-00001-gdc8dcf942daa #1 Hardware name: linux,dummy-virt (DT) Call trace: dump_backtrace+0x0/0x2a0 show_stack+0x18/0x2c dump_stack+0xf8/0x164 print_address_description.constprop.0+0x9c/0x538 kasan_report+0x120/0x200 __asan_load8+0xa0/0xc4 vm_insert_page+0x7c/0x1f0 binder_update_page_range+0x278/0x50c binder_alloc_new_buf+0x3f0/0xba0 binder_transaction+0x64c/0x3040 binder_thread_write+0x924/0x2020 binder_ioctl+0x1610/0x2e5c __arm64_sys_ioctl+0xd4/0x120 el0_svc_common.constprop.0+0xac/0x270 do_el0_svc+0x38/0xa0 el0_svc+0x1c/0x2c el0_sync_handler+0xe8/0x114 el0_sync+0x180/0x1c0 Allocated by task 559: kasan_save_stack+0x38/0x6c __kasan_kmalloc.constprop.0+0xe4/0xf0 kasan_slab_alloc+0x18/0x2c kmem_cache_alloc+0x1b0/0x2d0 vm_area_alloc+0x28/0x94 mmap_region+0x378/0x920 do_mmap+0x3f0/0x600 vm_mmap_pgoff+0x150/0x17c ksys_mmap_pgoff+0x284/0x2dc __arm64_sys_mmap+0x84/0xa4 el0_svc_common.constprop.0+0xac/0x270 do_el0_svc+0x38/0xa0 el0_svc+0x1c/0x2c el0_sync_handler+0xe8/0x114 el0_sync+0x180/0x1c0 Freed by task 560: kasan_save_stack+0x38/0x6c kasan_set_track+0x28/0x40 kasan_set_free_info+0x24/0x4c __kasan_slab_free+0x100/0x164 kasan_slab_free+0x14/0x20 kmem_cache_free+0xc4/0x34c vm_area_free+0x1c/0x2c remove_vma+0x7c/0x94 __do_munmap+0x358/0x710 __vm_munmap+0xbc/0x130 __arm64_sys_munmap+0x4c/0x64 el0_svc_common.constprop.0+0xac/0x270 do_el0_svc+0x38/0xa0 el0_svc+0x1c/0x2c el0_sync_handler+0xe8/0x114 el0_sync+0x180/0x1c0 [...] ================================================================== To prevent the race above, revert back to taking the mmap write lock inside binder_update_page_range(). | CVE-2025-40106 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: comedi: fix divide-by-zero in comedi_buf_munge() The comedi_buf_munge() function performs a modulo operation `async->munge_chan %= async->cmd.chanlist_len` without first checking if chanlist_len is zero. If a user program submits a command with chanlist_len set to zero, this causes a divide-by-zero error when the device processes data in the interrupt handler path. Add a check for zero chanlist_len at the beginning of the function, similar to the existing checks for !map and CMDF_RAWDATA flag. When chanlist_len is zero, update munge_count and return early, indicating the data was handled without munging. This prevents potential kernel panics from malformed user commands. | ||||

Use a CPUHP_AP_ONLINE_DYN entry instead to execute the cpuhp cb later, with preemption enabled. SDEI originally got its own cpuhp slot to allow interacting with perf. It got superseded by pNMI and this early slot is not relevant anymore. [1] Some SDEI calls (e.g. SDEI_1_0_FN_SDEI_PE_MASK) take actions on the calling CPU. It is checked that preemption is disabled for them. _ONLINE cpuhp cb are executed in the 'per CPU hotplug thread'. Preemption is enabled in those threads, but their cpumask is limited to 1 CPU. Move 'WARN_ON_ONCE(preemptible())' statements so that SDEI cpuhp cb don't trigger them. Also add a check for the SDEI_1_0_FN_SDEI_PRIVATE_RESET SDEI call which acts on the calling CPU. | CVE-2023-54164 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 7.0 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: fix iso_conn related locking and validity issues sk->sk_state indicates whether iso_pi(sk)->conn is valid. Operations that check/update sk_state and access conn should hold lock_sock, otherwise they can race. The order of taking locks is hci_dev_lock > lock_sock > iso_conn_lock, which is how it is in connect/disconnect_cfm -> iso_conn_del -> iso_chan_del. Fix locking in iso_connect_cis/bis and sendmsg/recvmsg to take lock_sock around updating sk_state and conn. iso_conn_del must not occur during iso_connect_cis/bis, as it frees the iso_conn. Hold hdev->lock longer to prevent that. This should not reintroduce the issue fixed in commit 241f51931c35 ("Bluetooth: ISO: Avoid circular locking dependency"), since the we acquire locks in order. We retain the fix in iso_sock_connect to release lock_sock before iso_connect_* acquires hdev->lock. Similarly for commit 6a5ad251b7cd ("Bluetooth: ISO: Fix possible circular locking dependency"). We retain the fix in iso_conn_ready to not acquire iso_conn_lock before lock_sock. iso_conn_add shall return iso_conn with valid hcon. Make it so also when reusing an old CIS connection waiting for disconnect timeout (see __iso_sock_close where conn->hcon is set to NULL). This deviation was discussed and agreed upon during the review process of the zsmalloc writeback patch series: https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/Y3flcAXNxxrvy3ZH@cmpxchg.org/ Unfortunately, this introduces a subtle bug that occurs when there is a concurrent store and reclaim, which interleave as follows: zswap_frontswap_store() shrink_worker() zs_malloc() zs_zpool_shrink() spin_lock(&pool->lock) zs_reclaim_page() zspage = find_get_zspage() spin_unlock(&pool->lock) spin_lock(&pool->lock) zspage = list_first_entry(&pool->lru) ---truncated--- | ||||

The function registers its global DNS resolver cache as current->cred.thread_keyring and passes the query to request_key_net() -> request_key_tag() -> request_key_and_link(). * Function request_key_and_link() creates a keyring_search_context object. Its match_data.cmp method gets set via a call to type->match_preparse() (resolves to dns_resolver_match_preparse()) to dns_resolver_cmp(). * Function request_key_and_link() continues and invokes search_process_keyrings_rcu() which returns that a given key was not found. The control is then passed to request_key_and_link() -> construct_alloc_key(). * Concurrently to that, a second task similarly makes a DNS query for "abcdef." and its result gets inserted into the DNS resolver cache. * Back on the first task, function construct_alloc_key() first runs __key_link_begin() to determine an assoc_array_edit operation to insert a new key. Index keys in the array are compared exactly as-is, using keyring_compare_object(). The operation ---truncated---

Then at the BUG_ON() location, we are trying to writeback the repaired sectors back the failed device. The check looks like this: ret = btrfs_map_block(fs_info, BTRFS_MAP_WRITE, logical, &map_length, &bioc, mirror_num); if (ret) goto out_counter_dec; BUG_ON(mirror_num != bioc->mirror_num); But inside btrfs_map_block(), we can modify bioc->mirror_num especially for dev-replace: if (dev_replace_is_ongoing && mirror_num == map->num_stripes + 1 && !need_full_stripe(op) && dev_replace->tgtdev != NULL) { ret = get_extra_mirror_from_replace(fs_info, logical, *length, dev_replace->srcdev->devid, &mirror_num, &physical_to_patch_in_first_stripe); patch_the_first_stripe_for_dev_replace = 1; } Thus if we're repairing the replace target device, we're going to trigger that BUG_ON(). But in reality, the read failure from the replace target device may be that, our replace hasn't reached the range we're reading, thus we're reading garbage, but with replace running, the range would be properly filled later. Thus in that case, we don't need to do anything but let the replace routine to handle it. [FIX] Instead of a BUG_ON(), just skip the repair if we're repairing the device replace target device.
