CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
perf/core: Fix system hang caused by cpu-clock usage
cpu-clock usage by the async-profiler tool can trigger a system hang,
which got bisected back to the following commit by Octavia Togami:
18dbcbfabfff ("perf: Fix the POLL_HUP delivery breakage") causes this issue
The root cause of the hang is that cpu-clock is a special type of SW
event which relies on hrtimers. The __perf_event_overflow() callback
is invoked from the hrtimer handler for cpu-clock events, and
__perf_event_overflow() tries to call cpu_clock_event_stop()
to stop the event, which calls htimer_cancel() to cancel the hrtimer.
But that's a recursion into the hrtimer code from a hrtimer handler,
which (unsurprisingly) deadlocks.
To fix this bug, use hrtimer_try_to_cancel() instead, and set
the PERF_HES_STOPPED flag, which causes perf_swevent_hrtimer()
to stop the event once it sees the PERF_HES_STOPPED flag.

| An Insecure Permission vulnerability in pgcodekeeper 10.12.0 allows a local attacker to obtain sensitive information via the plaintext storage of passwords and usernames. |
| langchain-ai v0.3.51 was discovered to contain an indirect prompt injection vulnerability in the GmailToolkit component. This vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary code and compromise the application via a crafted email message. NOTE: this is disputed by the Supplier because the code-execution issue was introduced by user-written code that does not adhere to the LangChain security practices. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm: swap: check for stable address space before operating on the VMA
It is possible to hit a zero entry while traversing the vmas in unuse_mm()
called from swapoff path and accessing it causes the OOPS:
Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address
0000000000000446--> Loading the memory from offset 0x40 on the
XA_ZERO_ENTRY as address.
Mem abort info:
ESR = 0x0000000096000005
EC = 0x25: DABT (current EL), IL = 32 bits
SET = 0, FnV = 0
EA = 0, S1PTW = 0
FSC = 0x05: level 1 translation fault
The issue is manifested from the below race between the fork() on a
process and swapoff:
fork(dup_mmap()) swapoff(unuse_mm)
--------------- -----------------
1) Identical mtree is built using
__mt_dup().
2) copy_pte_range()-->
copy_nonpresent_pte():
The dst mm is added into the
mmlist to be visible to the
swapoff operation.
3) Fatal signal is sent to the parent
process(which is the current during the
fork) thus skip the duplication of the
vmas and mark the vma range with
XA_ZERO_ENTRY as a marker for this process
that helps during exit_mmap().
4) swapoff is tried on the
'mm' added to the 'mmlist' as
part of the 2.
5) unuse_mm(), that iterates
through the vma's of this 'mm'
will hit the non-NULL zero entry
and operating on this zero entry
as a vma is resulting into the
oops.
The proper fix would be around not exposing this partially-valid tree to
others when droping the mmap lock, which is being solved with [1]. A
simpler solution would be checking for MMF_UNSTABLE, as it is set if
mm_struct is not fully initialized in dup_mmap().
Thanks to Liam/Lorenzo/David for all the suggestions in fixing this
issue. |
| Asseco ADMX system is used for processing medical records. It allows logged in users to access medical files belonging to other users through manipulation of GET arguments containing document IDs.
This issue has been fixed in 6.09.01.62 version of ADMX. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: ath11k: fix NULL dereference in ath11k_qmi_m3_load()
If ab->fw.m3_data points to data, then fw pointer remains null.
Further, if m3_mem is not allocated, then fw is dereferenced to be
passed to ath11k_err function.
Replace fw->size by m3_len.

| An issue in Hikvision DS-2CD1321-I V5.7.21 build 230819 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via sending a crafted POST request to the endpoint /ISAPI/Security/challenge. The vendor has stated that upgrading to V5.7.23_SP2 fixes the issue. |
| ruby-jwt v3.0.0.beta1 was discovered to contain weak encryption. NOTE: the Supplier's perspective is "keysize is not something that is enforced by this library. Currently more recent versions of OpenSSL are enforcing some key sizes and those restrictions apply to the users of this gem also." |
| jose v6.0.10 was discovered to contain weak encryption. NOTE: this is disputed by a third party because the claim of "do not meet recommended security standards" does not reflect guidance in a final publication. |

| The web management interface of Okcat Parking Management Platform from ZONG YU has a Missing Authentication vulnerability, allowing unauthenticated remote attackers to directly access system functions. These functions include opening gates, viewing license plates and parking records, and restarting the system. |
| A denial of service (DoS) vulnerability has been identified in the JavaScript library microlight version 0.0.7. This library, used for syntax highlighting, does not limit the size of textual content it processes in HTML elements with the microlight class. When excessively large content (e.g., 100 million characters) is processed, the reset function in microlight.js consumes excessive memory and CPU resources, causing browser crashes or unresponsiveness. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by tricking a user into visiting a malicious web page containing a microlight element with large content, resulting in a denial of service. NOTE: this is disputed by multiple parties because a large amount of memory and CPU resources is expected to be needed for content of that size. |
| A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability has been identified in the JavaScript library microlight version 0.0.7, a lightweight syntax highlighting library. When processing elements with non-standard CSS color values, the library fails to validate the result of a regular expression match before accessing its properties, leading to an uncaught TypeError and potential application crash. NOTE: this is disputed by multiple parties because there is no common scenario in which an adversary can insert those non-standard values. |
