| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: NUL-terminate replaced sysctl value
When writing to sysctls, proc_sys_call_handler() guarantees that the
buffer passed to proc handlers is NUL-terminated. If
bpf_sysctl_set_new_value() replaces the pending sysctl value, it can
hand a replacement buffer directly to proc handlers. However, the
helper currently copies only buf_len bytes into that buffer without
appending a NUL terminator, leaving downstream parsers vulnerable to
out-of-bounds access.
Fix this by appending a '\0' after the replaced value to restore the
expected sysctl semantics. Since the helper already rejects buf_len
greater than PAGE_SIZE - 1, there is always room for the extra byte.
Reproduced in a QEMU x86_64 guest booted with KASAN while exercising
the sysctl replacement path with a cgroup/sysctl BPF program. The
reproducer targets `/proc/sys/net/core/flow_limit_cpu_bitmap`, fills
the original user write buffer with non-zero bytes, and overrides the
sysctl value so the replacement buffer lacks a terminating NUL. Under
that setup, the pre-fix kernel reported:

The buggy address is located 0 bytes to the right of
allocated 4096-byte region [ffff88800de56000, ffff88800de57000)
With this fix applied, rerunning the same sysctl-targeted path yields
no corresponding KASAN reports. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
qnx4: handle set_blocksize failures
qnx4 uses buffer_heads, which don't handle block size > PAGE_SIZE well.
Without this, mounting will hit the
BUG_ON(offset >= folio_size(folio));
in folio_set_bh on the first __bread_gfp call. |
| Velociraptor's prefetch library contains an out of bound vulnerability which may cause a crash when parsing certain malformed prefetch files. |
| libheif is a HEIF and AVIF file format decoder and encoder. From 1.19.0 until 1.23.3, the no-icef full-item branch of unc_decoder::get_compressed_image_data_uncompressed() in libheif/codecs/uncompressed/unc_decoder.cc retains an addition-based range check that can wrap when a crafted uncompressed tile grid produces a large range_start_offset and range_size. The overflow makes the bounds comparison pass and allows heif_image_handle_decode_image_tile() to call memcpy() with an invalid source pointer and a very large length when decoding a valid high-index advertised tile. This incomplete remediation of CVE-2026-62292 can reliably crash tile-processing applications, while whole-image decoding is not claimed to reach the demonstrated path. This issue is fixed in version 1.23.3. |
| NanoMQ is an MQTT broker. Prior to 0.24.14, NanoMQ's broker-side MQTT v5 nmq_subinfo_decode() function in nng/src/sp/protocol/mqtt/mqtt_parser.c reuses len_of_varint from the outer Properties Length while parsing each SUBSCRIPTION_IDENTIFIER. A remote client can send a SUBSCRIBE packet with a multi-byte Properties Length and repeated subscription identifiers, causing get_var_integer() to begin at an incorrect offset and read beyond the heap message buffer. The flaw is reachable through the broker receive path and can crash the broker, while the separately reported topic-option off-by-one occurs later and is not this vulnerability. This issue is fixed in version 0.24.14. |
| OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to 3.0.21.0, 3.1.16.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1, A crafted psd with an invalid color_mode bypasses normal validation when oiio:rawcolor or psd:rawdata is enabled. psdinput::setup() then uses the attacker-controlled value to index fixed color-mode tables, causing a global out-of-bounds read and potentially a bogus allocation, resulting in denial of service. The affected implementation is identified by src/psd.imageio/psdinput.cpp, PSDInput::validate_header(), PSDInput::setup(), oiio:RawColor, psd:RawData, color_mode, and mode_channel_count, which define the relevant source path, functions, state, and trigger. This issue is fixed in versions 3.0.21.0, 3.1.16.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1. |
| mport is the MidnightBSD Package Manager. Prior to 2.7.8, ping() in libmport/ping.c accepted ICMP replies without validating icmp_id or icmp_seq and parsed the reply using a fixed IP-header offset instead of ip_hl. A network attacker able to inject or spoof visible ICMP replies could influence mirror latency selection, while a malformed packet carrying IP options could shift the ICMP header and trigger an out-of-bounds read. This issue is fixed in version 2.7.8. |
| OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to versions 3.0.16.0 and 3.1.11.0, processing a crafted BMP file through oiiotool or an application linked to OpenImageIO can reach BMP palette handling in src/bmp.imageio/bmpinput.cpp with an empty color table. BmpInput::read_native_scanline then performs an invalid palette read while decoding an RLE-compressed scanline, causing a process crash and denial of service. This issue is fixed in versions 3.0.16.0 and 3.1.11.0. |
| Out-of-bounds read while parsing untrusted SVG path strings in Qt Quick's Context2D.path / PathSvg.path. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Windows Mobile Broadband allows an unauthorized attacker to disclose information over a network. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) Miniport Driver allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Windows VOLSNAP.SYS allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Windows CD-ROM Driver allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Windows Spaceport.sys allows an authorized attacker to execute code locally. |
| A unauthenticated remote peer may lead rsyslogd to crash due to a flaw in the optional imptcp module. A crafted input sequence during oversize-frame recovery can cause an invalid internal message length and terminate rsyslogd. No confidentiality or integrity impact, privilege escalation, or code execution has been identified. imtcp and the default imptcp framing modes are not affected. |
