CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
team: Move team device type change at the end of team_port_add
Attempting to add a port device that is already up will expectedly fail,
but not before modifying the team device header_ops.
In the case of the syzbot reproducer the gre0 device is
already in state UP when it attempts to add it as a
port device of team0, this fails but before that
header_ops->create of team0 is changed from eth_header to ipgre_header
in the call to team_dev_type_check_change.
Later when we end up in ipgre_header() struct ip_tunnel* points to nonsense
as the private data of the device still holds a struct team.
Example sequence of iproute2 commands to reproduce the hang/BUG():
ip link add dev team0 type team
ip link add dev gre0 type gre
ip link set dev gre0 up
ip link set dev gre0 master team0
ip link set dev team0 up
ping -I team0 1.1.1.1
Move team_dev_type_check_change down where all other checks have passed
as it changes the dev type with no way to restore it in case
one of the checks that follow it fail.
Also make sure to preserve the origial mtu assignment:
- If port_dev is not the same type as dev, dev takes mtu from port_dev
- If port_dev is the same type as dev, port_dev takes mtu from dev
This is done by adding a conditional before the call to dev_set_mtu
to prevent it from assigning port_dev->mtu = dev->mtu and instead
letting team_dev_type_check_change assign dev->mtu = port_dev->mtu.
The conditional is needed because the patch moves the call to
team_dev_type_check_change past dev_set_mtu.
Testing:
- team device driver in-tree selftests
- Add/remove various devices as slaves of team device

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
locking/spinlock/debug: Fix data-race in do_raw_write_lock
KCSAN reports:
BUG: KCSAN: data-race in do_raw_write_lock / do_raw_write_lock
write (marked) to 0xffff800009cf504c of 4 bytes by task 1102 on cpu 1:
do_raw_write_lock+0x120/0x204
_raw_write_lock_irq
do_exit
call_usermodehelper_exec_async
ret_from_fork
read to 0xffff800009cf504c of 4 bytes by task 1103 on cpu 0:
do_raw_write_lock+0x88/0x204
_raw_write_lock_irq
do_exit
call_usermodehelper_exec_async
ret_from_fork
value changed: 0xffffffff -> 0x00000001
Reported by Kernel Concurrency Sanitizer on:
CPU: 0 PID: 1103 Comm: kworker/u4:1 6.1.111
Commit 1a365e822372 ("locking/spinlock/debug: Fix various data races") has
adressed most of these races, but seems to be not consistent/not complete.
>From do_raw_write_lock() only debug_write_lock_after() part has been
converted to WRITE_ONCE(), but not debug_write_lock_before() part.
Do it now. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
page_pool: always add GFP_NOWARN for ATOMIC allocations
Driver authors often forget to add GFP_NOWARN for page allocation
from the datapath. This is annoying to users as OOMs are a fact
of life, and we pretty much expect network Rx to hit page allocation
failures during OOM. Make page pool add GFP_NOWARN for ATOMIC allocations
by default. |
| A flaw was found in the Netfilter subsystem in the Linux kernel. The issue is in the nft_byteorder_eval() function, where the code iterates through a loop and writes to the `dst` array. On each iteration, 8 bytes are written, but `dst` is an array of u32, so each element only has space for 4 bytes. That means every iteration overwrites part of the previous element corrupting this array of u32. This flaw allows a local user to cause a denial of service or potentially break NetFilter functionality. |
| An Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection') vulnerability [CWE-89] vulnerability in Fortinet FortiAnalyzer 7.6.0 through 7.6.4, FortiAnalyzer 7.4.0 through 7.4.7, FortiAnalyzer 7.2 all versions, FortiAnalyzer Cloud 7.6.2 through 7.6.4, FortiAnalyzer Cloud 7.4.1 through 7.4.7, FortiAnalyzer Cloud 7.2.1 through 7.2.11 may allow a low privileged user to execute arbitrary commands via crafted requests. |

| Adobe Experience Manager is affected by a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could be abused by an attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. Malicious JavaScript may be executed in a victim's browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable field, potentially gaining elevated access or control over the victim's account or session. Scope is changed. |
| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.3.25, the @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend-module-confluence-to-markdown package is affected by improper input validation in confluence to markdown scaffolder module. Insufficient input validation in the Confluence to Markdown scaffolder module could allow an attacker to influence file write operations during template execution. Exploitation requires a Backstage user to run a template that processes attacker-influenced Confluence content. This issue is fixed in version 0.3.25. |
| Use after free in Windows USB Print Driver allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| ELADMIN (eladmin-mp) up to 2.7 contains an improper access control vulnerability in the role management module. The endpoint PUT /api/roles/menu (RoleController.updateRoleMenu) authorizes the request only by comparing the target role's level with the caller's minimum level. The application neither validates the granted menu set nor prevents a caller from modifying its own role. A logged-in non-admin user whose role holds the delegated `roles:edit` permission can submit its own role id together with an arbitrary list of menu ids. |

| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.3.25, the @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend-module-confluence-to-markdown package is affected by improper repository path validation in a scaffolder backend module. An authenticated user who can execute an affected template and control its repository file location may cause generated content to be written outside the task workspace, within locations writable by the Backstage backend process. This issue is fixed in version 0.3.25. |

| Seanime v3.7.0 to v3.10.3 contains an argument injection vulnerability reachable through improper authorization, allowing unauthenticated LAN or Tailnet clients to bypass the privileged mediastream settings guard by setting transcodeHwAccel to custom and supplying attacker-controlled decodeFlags and encodeFlags via the transcodeHwAccelCustomSettings field, which are appended verbatim to the ffmpeg argument vector. Attackers can trigger execution via the mediastream request and HLS playlist endpoints to achieve arbitrary file write and file truncation on the host as the user running seanime, with the injected input options also enabling potential arbitrary local file read and outbound data exfiltration through ffmpeg's protocol handlers. |
