CVSS v3.1 |
| mod_auth_openidc is an OpenID Certified authentication and authorization module for the Apache 2.x HTTP server that implements the OpenID Connect Relying Party functionality. Prior to 2.4.19.4, an out-of-bounds read and a one-byte out-of-bounds write exist in the state-cookie parser of `mod_auth_openidc`. The issue is fixed in version 2.4.19.4 by stopping the scan at the string terminator so a value-less token is rejected. No in-product workarounds are available. As a stop-gap, an upstream reverse proxy or WAF that rejects or normalizes malformed `Cookie` headers (tokens lacking `=`) can reduce exposure, but upgrading is the recommended remediation. |
| GStreamer MRF File Parsing Out-Of-Bounds Write Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of GStreamer. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of MRF files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a write past the end of an allocated buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-29510. |
| Out-of-bounds write in Windows DNS allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over an adjacent network. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipvs: reload ip header after head reallocation
__ip_vs_get_out_rt() calls skb_ensure_writable() which may
reallocate skb->head. |
| ccoap 77f55c4b466e99327c24ace8a2913d3ba7e2ccd5 contains a vulnerability in the option parsing logic that causes a segmentation fault when processing malformed COAP messages with insufficient option data. |

| A heap buffer overflow flaw was found in IPsec ESP transformation code in net/ipv4/esp4.c and net/ipv6/esp6.c. This flaw allows a local attacker with a normal user privilege to overwrite kernel heap objects and may cause a local privilege escalation threat. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ocfs2: fix out-of-bounds write in ocfs2_remove_refcount_extent
[BUG]
Unlinking a refcounted file whose refcount tree has leaf blocks
triggers a fortify panic due to an out-of-bounds write.
[CAUSE]
When the last leaf block is removed from a refcount tree,
ocfs2_remove_refcount_extent() converts the root back to leaf mode
with a bulk memset on &rb->rf_records. rf_records sits in an anonymous
union with rf_list. rf_list.l_tree_depth aliases rf_records.rl_count,
and is 0 for a single-level tree. With rl_count equal to 0, the memset
writes past the 16-byte declared size of rf_records, which the fortify
checker catches.
[FIX]
Replace the bulk memset on &rb->rf_records with a correctly-bounded
memset on rl_recs[] alone, after setting rl_count to the correct value. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
s390/zcrypt: Fix wrong domain value verification with EP11 CPRBs
There is a wrong upper limit check for the domain value when an EP11
CPRB is processed for sending to a crypto card. This check is only
active on custom device nodes but may lead to access heap memory
behind perms->adm when an administrative CPRB is sent.
Add correct limit (AP_DOMAINS = 256) checking to fix this. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
s390/dasd: Fix undersized format-check buffer
fmt_buffer_size in dasd_eckd_check_device_format() is declared as
int, even though one of the multiplicands, sizeof(struct eckd_count),
is a size_t. The expression
trkcount * rpt_max * sizeof(struct eckd_count)
is therefore correctly evaluated at 64-bit width, but the result is
silently truncated when it is stored back into the 32-bit
fmt_buffer_size variable. For a sufficiently large track range
(start_unit/stop_unit are caller-controlled) this truncation
yields a buffer size far smaller than the number of tracks actually
requested. kzalloc() then succeeds with an undersized allocation,
while the subsequent channel program build still operates on the
untruncated track count and writes past the end of that buffer.
Compute the buffer size with check_mul_overflow() and keep it in a
size_t, so that a value that no longer fits results in -EINVAL
instead of a silently truncated allocation size. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
of: reserved_mem: prevent OOB when too many dynamic regions are defined
On boot, fdt_scan_reserved_mem() saves each dynamically-placed
/reserved-memory subnode into a local array of size
MAX_RESERVED_REGIONS.
If the device tree defines more than MAX_RESERVED_REGIONS
dynamically-placed regions, fdt_scan_reserved_mem() writes past the
end of the local array.
Add a bounds check that logs an error and skips the excess regions,
restoring the original behavior. |
| RRC protocol dissector crash in 4.6.0 to 4.6.7 and 4.4.0 to 4.4.18 allows denial of service |
| Out-of-bounds write for some Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software for Windows within Ring 2: Device Drivers may allow a denial of service. Network adversary with an unauthenticated user combined with a low complexity attack may enable denial of service. This result may potentially occur via adjacent access when attack requirements are not present without special internal knowledge and requires passive user interaction. The potential vulnerability may impact the confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (high) of the vulnerable system, resulting in subsequent system confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (low) impacts. |

| Ixia IxVeriWave and Vector Informatik BLF file parser crashes in 4.6.0 to 4.6.7 allows denial of service on Windows |
| A flaw was found in gdk-pixbuf. When loading a specially crafted JPEG image containing chunked ICC profile markers, an error during ICC profile parsing can leave stale size metadata after the profile buffer is freed. A subsequent allocation in the same decode can cause an out-of-bounds write, potentially crashing the application. To exploit this flaw, an application using gdk-pixbuf must process the malicious JPEG image.
Affected version >= 2.26.4 |
| An attacker that has valid credentials can submit a Sieve script containing an extreme numeric literal, which causes an out-of-bounds write when the ManageSieve service compiles the script. This causes memory corruption and an observed crash of the ManageSieve process, resulting in denial of service for script management. This might be able to be used for remote code execution. Disable the ManageSieve service if users do not need remote Sieve script management. Update to non-vulnerable version. No publicly available exploits are known. |
| The LwM2M JSON content formatter's get_string() in subsys/net/lib/lwm2m/lwm2m_rw_json.c copies a parsed JSON string into a caller-supplied buffer and NUL-terminates it. The length guard used if (string_length > buflen), which accepts a string whose length is exactly buflen. After memcpy() fills the whole buffer, buf[string_length] = '\0' then writes one byte past the end of the buffer (CWE-787).
The string value and its length are taken directly from the incoming CoAP payload during a LwM2M WRITE: do_write_op_json() parses the payload obtained from coap_packet_get_payload(), and get_string() is invoked from lwm2m_write_handler() (engine_get_string() in subsys/net/lib/lwm2m/lwm2m_message_handling.c) for a LWM2M_RES_TYPE_STRING resource. The destination buf/buflen is either the resource instance's fixed data buffer (res_inst->data_ptr/max_data_len) or the engine validation buffer (msg->ctx->validate_buf). A LwM2M server (the client's DTLS peer) can therefore write a string resource with a value whose length equals the target buffer size and force a one-byte overflow.
The overflow is a single out-of-bounds write of the constant byte 0x00 immediately past the resource or validation buffer, corrupting the adjacent byte in memory. It is not an information leak and the written value is fixed, so it is not a direct code-execution primitive, but it can corrupt adjacent state (an adjacent resource value, a length/flag field, or a struct field) and cause data corruption or a crash. Triggering the write is deterministic; the resulting impact depends on memory layout.
The fix changes the guard to string_length >= buflen, rejecting the exact-length case and aligning the JSON formatter with the other content formatters (lwm2m_rw_plain_text.c, lwm2m_rw_oma_tlv.c, lwm2m_rw_senml_json.c, lwm2m_rw_cbor.c, lwm2m_rw_senml_cbor.c), which already used the correct boundary check. |
