CWE-269: Improper Privilege Management vulnerability exists that could cause privilege escalation when the
server is accessed by a privileged account via a console and through exploitation of a setup script. |
| Various software builds for the following TCL devices (30Z, A3X, 20XE, 10L) leak the device IMEI to a system property that can be accessed by any local app on the device without any permissions or special privileges. Google restricted third-party apps from directly obtaining non-resettable device identifiers in Android 10 and higher, but in these instances they are leaked by a high-privilege process and can be obtained indirectly. The software build fingerprints for each confirmed vulnerable device are as follows: TCL 30Z (TCL/4188R/Jetta_ATT:12/SP1A.210812.016/LV8E:user/release-keys, TCL/T602DL/Jetta_TF:12/SP1A.210812.016/vU5P:user/release-keys, TCL/T602DL/Jetta_TF:12/SP1A.210812.016/vU61:user/release-keys, TCL/T602DL/Jetta_TF:12/SP1A.210812.016/vU66:user/release-keys, TCL/T602DL/Jetta_TF:12/SP1A.210812.016/vU68:user/release-keys, TCL/T602DL/Jetta_TF:12/SP1A.210812.016/vU6P:user/release-keys, and TCL/T602DL/Jetta_TF:12/SP1A.210812.016/vU6X:user/release-keys); TCL A3X (TCL/A600DL/Delhi_TF:11/RKQ1.201202.002/vAAZ:user/release-keys, TCL/A600DL/Delhi_TF:11/RKQ1.201202.002/vAB3:user/release-keys, TCL/A600DL/Delhi_TF:11/RKQ1.201202.002/vAB7:user/release-keys, TCL/A600DL/Delhi_TF:11/RKQ1.201202.002/vABA:user/release-keys, TCL/A600DL/Delhi_TF:11/RKQ1.201202.002/vABM:user/release-keys, TCL/A600DL/Delhi_TF:11/RKQ1.201202.002/vABP:user/release-keys, and TCL/A600DL/Delhi_TF:11/RKQ1.201202.002/vABS:user/release-keys); TCL 20XE (TCL/5087Z_BO/Doha_TMO:11/RP1A.200720.011/PB7I-0:user/release-keys and TCL/5087Z_BO/Doha_TMO:11/RP1A.200720.011/PB83-0:user/release-keys); and TCL 10L (TCL/T770B/T1_LITE:10/QKQ1.200329.002/3CJ0:user/release-keys and TCL/T770B/T1_LITE:11/RKQ1.210107.001/8BIC:user/release-keys). This malicious app reads from the "gsm.device.imei0" system property to indirectly obtain the device IMEI. |
| A privilege escalation vulnerability in PocketBook InkPad Color 3 allows attackers to escalate to root privileges if they gain physical access to the device.
This issue affects InkPad Color 3 in version U743k3.6.8.3671. |
| Improper Privilege Management vulnerability in WPForms, LLC. WPForms User Registration allows Privilege Escalation. This issue affects WPForms User Registration: from n/a through 2.1.0. |
| CWE-269: Improper Privilege Management vulnerability exists that could cause privilege escalation and
arbitrary code execution when a privileged engineer user with console access modifies a configuration file
used by a root-level daemon to execute custom scripts. |
| Directory Traversal vulnerability in lsgwr spring boot online exam v.0.9 allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code via the FileTransUtil.java component. |
| Chef InSpec versions up to 5.23 and before 7.0.107 creates named pipes with overly permissive default Windows access controls. A local attacker may interfere with the pipe connection process and exploit the insufficient access restrictions to assume the InSpec execution context, potentially resulting in elevated privileges or operational disruption.
This issue affects Chef Inspec: through 5.23 and before 7.0.107 |
| The School Management System – SakolaWP plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.8. This is due to the registration function not properly limiting what roles a user can register as. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to register as an administrative user. |
| A Improper Privilege Management vulnerability in SUSE rancher in RoleTemplateobjects when external=true is set can lead to privilege escalation in specific scenarios. This issue affects rancher: from 2.7.0 before 2.7.14, from 2.8.0 before 2.8.5. |
| Excessive Privileges vulnerability in Calix GigaCenter ONT (Broadcom SoC modules) allows Privilege Abuse. This issue affects GigaCenter ONT: 844E, 844G, 844GE, 854GE, 812G, 813G, 818G. |
| Incorrect Privilege Assignment vulnerability in Themefic Hydra Booking hydra-booking allows Privilege Escalation. This issue affects Hydra Booking: from n/a through <= 1.1.32. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in Siemens License Server (SLS) (All versions < V4.3). The affected application searches for executable files in the application folder without proper validation.
This could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code with administrative privileges by placing a malicious executable in the same directory. |
| Incorrect Privilege Assignment vulnerability in FantasticPlugins SUMO Memberships for WooCommerce sumomemberships allows Privilege Escalation. This issue affects SUMO Memberships for WooCommerce: from n/a through <= 7.8.0. |
| Nintendo Wii U OS 5.5.5 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to forge SSL certificates as though they came from a Root CA, because there is a secondary verification mechanism that only checks whether a CA is known and ignores the CA details and signature (and because * is accepted as a Common Name). |
| Tesla Telematics Control Unit (TCU) firmware prior to v2025.14 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability. The TCU runs the Android Debug Bridge (adbd) as root and, despite a “lockdown” check that disables adb shell, still permits adb push/pull and adb forward. Because adbd is privileged and the device’s USB port is exposed externally, an attacker with physical access can write an arbitrary file to a writable location and then overwrite the kernel’s uevent_helper or /proc/sys/kernel/hotplug entries via ADB, causing the script to be executed with root privileges. |
| Incorrect Privilege Assignment vulnerability in Vito Peleg Atarim atarim-visual-collaboration allows Privilege Escalation. This issue affects Atarim: from n/a through <= 4.2.1. |
| An incorrect privilege assignment vulnerability in Palo Alto Networks Autonomous Digital Experience Manager allows a locally authenticated low privileged user on macOS endpoints to escalate their privileges to root. |
| Incorrect Privilege Assignment vulnerability in LazyCoders LLC LazyTasks lazytasks-project-task-management allows Privilege Escalation. This issue affects LazyTasks: from n/a through <= 1.2.37. |
| A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in pankajindevops scale up to 20241113. This affects an unknown part of the component API Endpoint. The manipulation leads to improper access controls. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. This product does not use versioning. This is why information about affected and unaffected releases are unavailable. |
| Privilege escalation in the Netmonitor component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 149, Firefox ESR 140.9, Thunderbird 149, and Thunderbird 140.9. |
