CVSS v3.1 |
Manage Engine Desktop Central 9 before build 90135 allows remote attackers to change passwords of users with the Administrator role via an addOrModifyUser operation to servlets/DCOperationsServlet.
The ec_ajax_update_option and ec_ajax_clear_all_taxrates functions in inc/admin/admin_ajax_functions.php in the WP EasyCart plugin 1.1.30 through 3.0.20 for WordPress allow remote attackers to gain administrator privileges and execute arbitrary code via the option_name and option_value parameters.
Cygwin before 2.5.0 does not properly handle updating permissions when changing users, which allows attackers to gain privileges.
IBM Security Access Manager for Web 9.0.0 could allow an authenticated user to access some privileged functionality of the server. IBM X-Force ID: 114714.
IBM AIX contains an unspecified vulnerability that would allow a locally authenticated user to obtain root level privileges.
Blue Coat Malware Analysis Appliance (MAA) before 4.2.5 and Malware Analyzer G2 allow remote attackers to bypass a virtual machine protection mechanism and consequently write to arbitrary files, cause a denial of service (host reboot or reset to factory defaults), or execute arbitrary code via vectors related to saving files during analysis.
The UAA reset password flow in Cloud Foundry release v236 and earlier versions, UAA release v3.3.0 and earlier versions, all versions of Login-server, UAA release v10 and earlier versions and Pivotal Elastic Runtime versions prior to 1.7.2 is vulnerable to a brute force attack due to multiple active codes at a given time. This vulnerability is applicable only when using the UAA internal user store for authentication. Deployments enabled for integration via SAML or LDAP are not affected.
t-coffee before 11.00.8cbe486-2 allows local users to write to ~/.t_coffee globally.
Red Hat Gluster Storage RPM Package 3.2 allows local users to gain privileges and execute arbitrary code as root.
Huawei LogCenter V100R001C10 could allow an authenticated attacker to tamper with requests using a tool and submit a request to the server for privilege escalation, affecting some system functions.
The error page mechanism of the Java Servlet Specification requires that, when an error occurs and an error page is configured for the error that occurred, the original request and response are forwarded to the error page. This means that the request is presented to the error page with the original HTTP method. If the error page is a static file, expected behaviour is to serve content of the file as if processing a GET request, regardless of the actual HTTP method. The Default Servlet in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M20, 8.5.0 to 8.5.14, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.43 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.77 did not do this. Depending on the original request this could lead to unexpected and undesirable results for static error pages including, if the DefaultServlet is configured to permit writes, the replacement or removal of the custom error page. Notes for other user provided error pages: (1) Unless explicitly coded otherwise, JSPs ignore the HTTP method. JSPs used as error pages must must ensure that they handle any error dispatch as a GET request, regardless of the actual method. (2) By default, the response generated by a Servlet does depend on the HTTP method. Custom Servlets used as error pages must ensure that they handle any error dispatch as a GET request, regardless of the actual method.
An issue was discovered in OxygenOS before 4.0.3 for OnePlus 3 and 3T. The attacker can persistently make the (locked) bootloader start the platform with dm-verity disabled, by issuing the 'fastboot oem disable_dm_verity' command. Having dm-verity disabled, the kernel will not verify the system partition (and any other dm-verity protected partition), which may allow for persistent code execution and privilege escalation.
In Cloud Foundry cf-release versions prior to v264; UAA release all versions of UAA v2.x.x, 3.6.x versions prior to v3.6.13, 3.9.x versions prior to v3.9.15, 3.20.x versions prior to v3.20.0, and other versions prior to v4.4.0; and UAA bosh release (uaa-release) 13.x versions prior to v13.17, 24.x versions prior to v24.12. 30.x versions prior to 30.5, and other versions prior to v41, zone administrators are allowed to escalate their privileges when mapping permissions for an external provider.
click/install.py in click does not require files in package filesystem tarballs to start with ./ (dot slash), which allows remote attackers to install an alternate security policy and gain privileges via a crafted package, as demonstrated by the test.mmrow app for Ubuntu phone.
ISPConfig 3.x before 3.1.9 allows remote authenticated users to obtain root access by creating a crafted cron job.
fileio.c in Vim prior to 8.0.1263 sets the group ownership of a .swp file to the editor's primary group (which may be different from the group ownership of the original file), which allows local users to obtain sensitive information by leveraging an applicable group membership, as demonstrated by /etc/shadow owned by root:shadow mode 0640, but /etc/.shadow.swp owned by root:users mode 0640, a different vulnerability than CVE-2017-1000382.
PostgreSQL PL/Java before 1.5.0 allows remote authenticated users with USAGE permission on the public schema to alter the public schema classpath.
Services and files in Lenovo Fingerprint Manager before 8.01.42 have incorrect ACLs, which allows local users to invalidate local checks and gain privileges via standard filesystem operations.
The Konke Smart Plug K does not require authentication for TELNET sessions, which allows remote attackers to obtain "equipment management authority" via TCP traffic to port 23.
The aio_mount function in fs/aio.c in the Linux kernel before 4.7.7 does not properly restrict execute access, which makes it easier for local users to bypass intended SELinux W^X policy restrictions, and consequently gain privileges, via an io_setup system call.
