CVE-2026-93806 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: cfg80211: validate assoc response length before status and IE access cfg80211_rx_assoc_resp() initialises the status and response-IE fields of cfg80211_connect_resp_params from the management frame before proving that the frame is long enough for those offsets. S1G and regular association responses also have different IE offsets, but the S1G path only patched resp_ie after the unsafe initialiser had already run. Defer resp_ie, resp_ie_len, and status to after the link-iteration loop. Use a bool to remember whether the frame is S1G, then validate the appropriate minimum length and set all three fields in a single if/else block. Funnel short-frame and SME-reject cleanup through a shared free_bss label for the abandon paths.
CVE-2026-100563 1 Openclaw 1 Openclaw 2026-09-26 5.4 Medium
OpenClaw (npm package `openclaw`) before 2026.8.1 does not neutralize leading characters that spreadsheet applications interpret as formulas when the Control UI exports session data to CSV. Although session labels were quoted as CSV text, a lower-trust participant who can influence a session label or the first user message can place a formula-like cell in the Usage export; if an operator opens that export in a spreadsheet application with formula evaluation enabled, the cell may be evaluated with the permissions of the spreadsheet user. OpenClaw itself does not evaluate the formula, and practical impact depends on the spreadsheet application's security settings. The issue is fixed in 2026.8.1.
CVE-2026-93213 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: of: fix out-of-bounds read in of_alias_scan() stem parser The stem parser tests isdigit(*(end - 1)) before checking end > start and so reads one byte before the property name when the name is empty or all digits. Check the bound first.
CVE-2026-93799 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: validate sta_id in BA window status notif BA_WINDOW_STATUS_NOTIFICATION_ID extracts a 5-bit sta_id from the firmware notification and uses it to index fw_id_to_mac_id[] without bounds checking. Validate sta_id before array access to prevent out-of-bounds indexing.
CVE-2026-98053 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: Intel: avs: Refactor and fix init_config access Existing code accesses enties found in ->init_configs array through indexes that are part of ->config_ids array. Those two are limited by: ->num_init_configs and ->num_config_ids respectively. Using ID larger or equal to ->num_init_configs leads to out-of-bounds access: avs_path_module_send_init_configs() loop: (...) &acomp->tplg->init_configs[ids[i]] ^ out-of-bounds candidate Rather than adding another if-statement, refactor the code. There is no need to store the IDs, have a list of pointers to actual config-entries instead. As the verification of ->init_config entries does not differ from verification of other types that are part of the topology.c file, simply reuse the code.
CVE-2026-93813 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 7.8 High

CVE-2026-93816 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: validate inline dentry name lengths before conversion Inline dentry conversion copies names out of the inline dentry area before checking that each recorded name length fits in the available filename slots. A corrupted image can therefore make the conversion path read past the inline filename storage while building the regular dentry block. Validate each inline dentry name length against the inline filename area before copying it.
CVE-2026-97428 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 7.7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: harden FRU PIA parsing with bounded helpers Replace the open-coded TLV walk with fru_pia_advance() and fru_pia_copy_field() helpers that bound every read by the actual EEPROM data length, preventing out-of-bounds reads on truncated or malformed FRU data.
CVE-2026-97438 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: validate index entry key bounds [BUG] A malformed NTFS directory index entry can advertise a key_size larger than the bytes actually present in its NTFS_DE payload. Directory lookup then passes that malformed key to cmp_fnames(), which can read past the end of the kmalloc'ed index buffer. CVE-2026-97445 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 7.7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPICA: Enhance buffer validation in acpi_ut_walk_aml_resources() Enhance buffer validation in acpi_ut_walk_aml_resources() to prevent buffer overflows.
CVE-2026-97575 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: v4l2-ctrls: validate AV1 tile counts The stateless AV1 decoders use tile_info.tile_cols and tile_rows as loop bounds and as indices into the mi_*_starts[] and *_in_sbs_minus_1[] arrays, as the divisor for context_update_tile_id, and their product bounds the per-tile descriptor buffers, but std_validate_compound() does not bound these u8 fields. Reject a V4L2_CTRL_TYPE_AV1_FRAME whose tile_cols or tile_rows exceeds V4L2_AV1_MAX_TILE_COLS / _ROWS, or whose product exceeds V4L2_AV1_MAX_TILE_COUNT. A zero tile count is left to the consuming driver so the zero-initialised control that existing userspace submits is still accepted.
CVE-2026-97415 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: tree-checker: validate names in ROOT_REF and ROOT_BACKREF ROOT_REF and ROOT_BACKREF items contain a struct btrfs_root_ref followed by the subvolume name. Several readers assume that this layout is already valid and then use the on-disk name length directly. A corrupted item can therefore make those readers address bytes outside the item, and BTRFS_IOC_GET_SUBVOL_INFO can copy too many bytes into its fixed-size UAPI name buffer. Validate ROOT_REF and ROOT_BACKREF items in tree-checker before any reader uses them. Reject records that do not contain a non-empty name, whose name_len does not exactly describe the remaining item payload, or whose name exceeds BTRFS_NAME_LEN. For BTRFS_IOC_GET_SUBVOL_INFO, copy only the validated on-disk name_len instead of deriving the copy length from the item size. The ioctl result is zeroed when allocated. That leaves the existing trailing zero byte untouched.
CVE-2026-97433 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 8.2 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme: validate FDP configuration descriptor sizes Validate descriptor sizes while walking the FDP configurations log so dsze == 0 or a descriptor past the log end cannot cause unbounded iteration or reads past the buffer.
CVE-2026-97437 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs3: fix out-of-bounds read in ntfs_dir_emit() and hdr_find_e() The bounds check in ntfs_dir_emit() compares fname->name_len (a character count) against e->size (a byte count) without accounting for the 2-byte-per-character UTF-16LE encoding or the ATTR_FILE_NAME header size: if (fname->name_len + sizeof(struct NTFS_DE) > le16_to_cpu(e->size)) This computes: name_len + 16 > e_size The correct check must account for the ATTR_FILE_NAME header (66 bytes before the name) and the UTF-16LE character size (2 bytes each): sizeof(NTFS_DE) + offsetof(ATTR_FILE_NAME, name) + name_len * sizeof(short) > e_size Which computes: 16 + 66 + name_len * 2 > e_size The correct calculation already exists as fname_full_size() in ntfs.h and is used in cmp_fnames(), namei.c, and fslog.c, but was not used in the readdir path. A crafted NTFS image with an index entry containing a small e->size but large fname->name_len bypasses the current check, causing ntfs_utf16_to_nls() to read past the entry boundary. Additionally, add a key_size validation in hdr_find_e() to ensure the declared key_size does not exceed the available entry data, preventing comparison functions from reading past entry boundaries on the lookup path.
CVE-2026-80146 1 Lantronix 6 Emg7500, Emg8500, Slb882 and 3 more 2026-09-26 9.9 Critical
Lantronix SLC8000/SLC9000 before firmware v9.7.0.2, EMG8500/EMG7500 before firmware v9.7.0.1, and all firmware versions of SLB882/SLCx-03/SLCx-02 contain a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to potentially execute arbitrary code by exploiting an undocumented mfc eeprom read command that copies unbounded user input into a bounded stack buffer before passing it to a system() call. Attackers can authenticate as any user to the terminal or CLI interface and supply an oversized input to trigger the overflow, potentially achieving complete loss of confidentiality, integrity, and availability on the affected device and impacting downstream serial-attached devices.
CVE-2026-97577 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: verisilicon: rockchip: reject AV1 frames exceeding the tile capacity rockchip_vpu981_av1_dec_set_tile_info() indexes the tile group entry array by tile1 * tile_cols + tile0, reading up to tile_cols * tile_rows entries, lays out one descriptor per tile in the AV1_MAX_TILES tile_info buffer, and programs the real tile_cols / tile_rows into the hardware. The tile group entry control is a dynamic array sized to the number of entries userspace submitted, independent of tile_cols / tile_rows, so a frame that claims more tiles than entries reads past the array. A frame that claims more than AV1_MAX_TILES tiles also leaves the hardware programmed for more tiles than the descriptor buffer holds. Reject both in prepare_run(): tile_cols * tile_rows must not exceed the submitted entry count or AV1_MAX_TILES. The entry count is read via v4l2_ctrl_find() (ctrl->elems). This mirrors the bound the mediatek AV1 decoder already enforces.
CVE-2026-97529 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Validate BSG request_len before reading vendor_cmd[] The FC BSG transport allocates job->request via memdup_user() using the exact user-supplied request_len. For FC_BSG_HST_VENDOR, fc_bsg_host_dispatch() only guarantees request_len covers msgcode and vendor_id; it does not account for the vendor_cmd[] flexible array. qla2xxx then reads the command selector vendor_cmd[0] and, in several sub-handlers, vendor_cmd[1]/[2] or structures overlaid on the vendor command area without verifying request_len. A caller holding CAP_SYS_RAWIO can submit a short request whose vendor_id matches the host, triggering out-of-bounds heap reads (KASAN-detectable, and able to mis-select a command or panic). Add a central guard in qla2x00_process_vendor_specific() so the selector is always in bounds, restrict the early vendor_cmd[0] read in qla24xx_bsg_request() to sufficiently long vendor messages, and add request_len checks to the sub-handlers that read further: qla24xx_proc_fcp_prio_cfg_cmd(), qla2x00_process_loopback(), qla84xx_reset(), qla84xx_updatefw(), qla2x00_read_optrom(), qla2x00_update_optrom(), qlafx00_mgmt_cmd() and qla28xx_validate_flash_image().
CVE-2026-97976 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btintel_pcie: validate packet_len before skb_put_data btintel_pcie_submit_rx_work() reads packet_len from rfh_hdr without checking if it exceeds the RX buffer size. An oversized packet_len can lead to an out-of-bounds read in skb_put_data(). Validate packet_len to ensure it is non-zero and does not exceed BTINTEL_PCIE_BUFFER_SIZE - sizeof(*rfh_hdr), logging an error when invalid. This issue was reported by Claude Mythos. It can be simulated either by using customized firmware configured to return an invalid packet_len or by modifying rfh_hdr->packet_len in the driver before calling btintel_pcie_submit_rx_work().
CVE-2026-97995 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio_console: do not free control-out buffers on remove __send_control_msg() publishes &portdev->cpkt as the control-out virtqueue cookie. remove_vqs() walks every virtqueue and passes leftover cookies to free_buf(), which treats them as struct port_buffer and reads sgpages. If a control message is still on c_ovq when the device is unbound, free_buf() reads past the ports_device object. KASAN reported slab-out-of-bounds in free_buf(): free_buf remove_vqs virtcons_remove unbind_store The object was the ports_device allocated in virtcons_probe(). Drain c_ovq without freeing. The packet lives in portdev and is released with it.
CVE-2026-97563 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: reject out-of-bounds DataOffset in CIFSSMBRead() The SMB1 synchronous read helper CIFSSMBRead() validates the server's DataLength against CIFSMaxBufSize and the caller's count, but never validates DataOffset. The copy source is formed as &pSMBr->hdr.Protocol + le16_to_cpu(pSMBr->DataOffset) and memcpy()'d for DataLength bytes with no check that the [DataOffset, DataOffset + DataLength) range lies within the response actually received from the server. A malicious or compromised SMB1 server can return a response carrying an in-range DataLength and a large DataOffset, driving the source pointer past the end of the response buffer. The memcpy() then copies adjacent kernel heap into the caller's read buffer (information disclosure), or reads unmapped memory and oopses (denial of service). SMB1 is not negotiated by default; reaching this code requires an explicit vers=1.0 mount. Both DataOffset and the received response length recorded in rsp_iov.iov_len are relative to the start of the SMB header, so reject the response unless DataOffset + DataLength fits within that length, using overflow-safe arithmetic, before forming the source pointer. The response length has been validated by the previous patch, so the DataOffset and DataLength fields can be read safely here. While here, make data_length unsigned. It holds a length derived from unsigned on-the-wire fields and is only ever compared against unsigned quantities; print it with %u accordingly, and add __func__ to the cifs_dbg() calls in this function.
