CVE-2026-87078 1 Perl 1 Net::idn::punycode 2026-09-29 9.1 Critical
Net::IDN::Punycode versions from 2.302 before 2.590 for Perl leak the output buffer on every rejected label in decode_punycode. The XS backend allocates the scalar it returns before it validates the input, sizing the buffer at twice the input length. The scalar is released only on the success path, so each of the three croaks that reject a label leaves the scalar and its buffer allocated. Nothing bounds the label length in the to-Unicode direction, since the 63-byte DNS limit is checked only when converting to ASCII. Only the XS backend is affected. A sender who supplies invalid labels grows the process by twice the label length per rejected call, with no successful call needed.
CVE-2026-102006 1 Windriver 1 Vxworks 2026-09-29 5.5 Medium
In Wind River VxWorks 7 prior to 26.09, specific system call arguments can result in the process management subsystem failing to properly release allocated kernel memory before terminating the calling application. Fixed in Version 26.09
CVE-2026-102005 1 Windriver 1 Vxworks 2026-09-29 5.5 Medium
Wind River VxWorks 7 24.03 through 26.03, a memory leak occurs under specific, non-default configuration states when processing specific service routines, causing the system to terminate operations before releasing allocated memory pools. Fixed in VxWorks 7 26.09
CVE-2026-95395 2026-09-29 5.5 Medium
IEEE C37.118 Synchrophasor protocol dissector memory leak in 4.6.0 to 4.6.8 and 4.4.0 to 4.4.18 allows denial of service
CVE-2026-44806 1 Microsoft 24 Windows 10 1607, Windows 10 1809, Windows 10 21h2 and 21 more 2026-09-29 5.3 Medium
Missing release of memory after effective lifetime in Windows Cryptographic Services allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service over a network.
CVE-2026-73550 1 Envoyproxy 1 Envoy 2026-09-28 7.5 High
Envoy is an open source edge and service proxy designed for cloud-native applications. Prior to 1.36.10, 1.37.6, 1.38.4, and 1.39.1, Envoy copies every decoded HTTP/2 Host header value before discarding it when :authority is already present. The discarded value bypasses saveHeader, so its bytes and count are not charged against request header limits. An unauthenticated client can use HPACK indexing to submit many references to a large Host value across a bounded number of streams, forcing extreme header-copy allocation and causing the proxy to be out-of-memory killed. The relevant scope boundary is that the demonstrated amplification uses HTTP/2 HPACK and the duplicate Host discard behavior. This issue is fixed in versions 1.36.10, 1.37.6, 1.38.4, and 1.39.1.
CVE-2026-63446 1 Oisf 1 Suricata 2026-09-28 7.5 High
Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. From 8.0.0 until 8.0.6, AppLayerParserSetTransactionInspectId() in src/app-layer-parser.c uses an inverted guard and marks only already-inspected transactions as inspected. On flows passed by a pass rule or pass-the-flow exception policy, detection is skipped, so completed transactions remain unmarked, are never freed, and are repeatedly rescanned. The per-flow list can grow without bound with quadratic cleanup cost, causing CPU and memory exhaustion. This issue is fixed in version 8.0.6.
CVE-2026-63448 1 Oisf 1 Suricata 2026-09-28 5.9 Medium
Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. Prior to 7.0.17 and 8.0.6, the SMB parser can retain force-completed transactions on flows where Suricata sees payload in only one direction, including async-oneside flows, because cleanup waits for inspection in the unseen direction. The transaction creation paths in rust/src/smb can exceed the intended SMB_MAX_TX bound, and cleanup repeatedly scans the growing list. Sustained one-directional SMB traffic can therefore cause unbounded per-flow state and CPU and memory exhaustion. This issue is fixed in versions 8.0.6 and 7.0.17.
CVE-2026-88385 1 Michaelrsweet 1 Mxml 2026-09-27 N/A
Mini-XML 4.0.5 contains a memory leak vulnerability in mxml_load_data() during malformed XML parsing. Specially crafted XML input can cause text nodes allocated by mxmlNewText() to become unlinked before a parse error transfers control to the cleanup path. These orphaned nodes are not released, resulting in a persistent memory leak on each parsing attempt. Repeated attacker-controlled requests can cause cumulative memory exhaustion and denial of service.
CVE-2026-98162 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb/server: fix tree connection leak in smb2_tree_connect() See the procedure below: smb2_tree_connect ksmbd_tree_conn_connect xa_store(&sess->tree_conns, tree_conn->id, tree_conn) ksmbd_counter_inc(KSMBD_COUNTER_TREE_CONNS) ksmbd_share_tree_conn_inc(sc) ksmbd_iov_pin_rsp // fail status.ret = KSMBD_TREE_CONN_STATUS_NOMEM // do not disconnect tree_conn Disconnect the new tree connection if ksmbd_iov_pin_rsp() fails.
CVE-2026-93225 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 7.4 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: phy: fsl-imx8mq-usb: fix typec switch leak on probe error path If probe fails after imx95_usb_phy_get_tca() succeeds, the typec switch leaks because the only cleanup path was in .remove(), which never runs on probe failure. Use devm_add_action_or_reset() so the switch is cleaned up on both probe failure and driver removal. The imx95_usb_phy_put_tca() is no longer needed, it will be removed in .remove() too.
CVE-2026-93817 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf: Fix addr_filter_ranges lifetime Lee Jia Jie reported that since event::addr_filter_ranges is used under RCU, it should be RCU freed.
CVE-2026-98003 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/amd: Do not reallocate GA log buffers on resume Commit c5e1a1eb9279 ("iommu/amd: Simplify and Consolidate Virtual APIC (AVIC) Enablement") moved the GA log allocation from iommu_init_pci() to enable_iommus_vapic(), which is called on every resume. iommu_init_ga_log() assigns iommu->ga_log and iommu->ga_log_tail unconditionally. Each resume therefore replaces the boot-time pointers and leaks both old allocations. The function also uses GFP_KERNEL from a syscore resume callback, where interrupts are disabled and the non-boot CPUs are offline. Return early if both buffers are already allocated. Clear the pointers in free_ga_log() so a partial allocation failure cannot leave ga_log dangling.
CVE-2026-97544 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: don't leak dqacct if rhashtable insertion fails LOLLM observes that xqcheck_mod_live_ino_dqtrx doesn't free the newly allocated dqa object if rhashtable insertion fails. Fix this leak.
CVE-2026-97543 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: destroy seen inode bitmap when we fail to add a dirpath LOLLM observes a memory leak in xchk_dirtree_create_path if we create the directory path object but appending the name to the path fails. When this happens, we don't tear down the (empty) seen inode bitmap. This is a pretty trivial error, but let's not leave logic bombs. Do the same for a similar bug in xrep_dirtree_create_adoption_path.
CVE-2026-97556 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: avoid leaking refcount when cifs_sb_tlink() fails cifs_oplock_break() takes over the reference that cifs_queue_oplock_break() acquired when it queued the work, and drops it with _cifsFileInfo_put() once the break has been processed. Only in setups with "-o multiuser", cifs_sb_tlink() may fail, at which point cifs_oplock_break() returns without putting the file reference, mirroring the reference leak we already fixed in the companion patch to cifs_queue_oplock_break(). This would trigger a crash due to busy inodes on the next unmount: BUG: Dentry ... still in use (1) [unmount of cifs cifs] VFS: Busy inodes after unmount of cifs (cifs) Drop the reference on that path as well. Doing so before the out label mirrors the normal path, which also puts the reference before cifs_done_oplock_break(). Found by Sashiko code review. The failure path was not exercised at runtime.
CVE-2026-97606 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: autofs: fix memory leak in autofs_fill_super() In autofs_fill_super(), we create a new inode using autofs_new_ino(), however, if we fail to create root_inode, (that is, root_inode failure path), we return -ENOMEM without freeing the new inode(ino) that we created causing a memory leak. Fix this by adding autofs_free_ino() to free the inode we created in root_inode failure path before returning ENOMEM.
CVE-2026-97921 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Free histogram the field rejected for a bad modifier Writing a hist trigger whose value or variable carries a modifier that is not allowed there leaks the fields that were built for it. __create_val_field() takes the field from parse_expr() and stores it in hist_data->fields[] only after the modifier checks have run: hist_field = parse_expr(hist_data, file, field_str, flags, var_name, &n_subexprs); ... if (hist_field->flags & HIST_FIELD_FL_VAR) { if (hist_field->flags & (...)) goto err; } else { if (hist_field->flags & (...)) goto err; } hist_data->fields[val_idx] = hist_field; Both checks jump past that store, and the err label returns without freeing anything. The error unwinds to create_hist_data(), which calls destroy_hist_data() -> destroy_hist_fields(), and that reaches a field only by walking fields[]. A field that never got there is unreachable. commit e0213434fe3e ("tracing: Do not let histogram values have some modifiers") set ret to -EINVAL and fell through to the store, which left the field owned by fields[] and freed along with the rest of hist_data. Splitting the check into a value case and a variable case replaced that fall-through with a goto that skips it. With CONFIG_DEBUG_KMEMLEAK, 200 writes of # echo 'hist:keys=prev_pid:vals=next_pid.log2' > \ events/sched/sched_switch/trigger each correctly rejected with -EINVAL, leave 332 unreferenced objects (63744 bytes) reported at create_hist_field(); 200 install and remove cycles of a valid trigger leave none. A '.log2' field is two allocations, since create_hist_field() puts the plain field in operands[0] of the log2 field, and both are reported. Use destroy_hist_field() rather than __destroy_hist_field() so that operands[0] is freed as well. It returns early for HIST_FIELD_FL_VAR_REF, which is what an operand owned by hist_data->var_refs[] needs; the rejected field itself is never a var ref, because a var ref never carries a modifier flag.
CVE-2026-97972 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: macb: put the "mdio" child node reference on success macb_mii_init() holds the reference returned by of_get_child_by_name() for macb_mdiobus_register() and drops it only on the error paths, so every successful probe leaks a node reference. On a CM5, overlay removal after four bind cycles reports OF: ERROR: memory leak, expected refcount 1 instead of 5 Drop the reference after registration, where __mdiobus_register() has already taken its own for the lifetime of the bus.
CVE-2026-100071 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: hsr: free learned nodes on device setup failure hsr_dev_finalize() can fail after a lower-device RX handler has already been registered (slave A is added before the failable slave B and interlink adds). RX handlers run in softirq regardless of the master's state, so frames received in that window can learn dynamic nodes into node_db, and the error unwind never releases them. Free both owned dynamic databases in the unwind, mirroring hsr_dellink(). proxy_node_db is provably empty on every current error exit (only interlink RX feeds it, and the interlink add is the last failable step) and is freed for symmetry. The order is safe: hsr_del_port() unregisters each RX handler with synchronize_net() before hsr_del_nodes() runs, which removes remaining entries with list_del_rcu() and defers their release with call_rcu() for readers already under RCU.
